Amid rising concerns over the TikTok ban, U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that lawmakers would be moving forward with legislation to address the allegation of China’s government having access to the apps’ user data. U.S. Government has banned the app installed on the devices.
U.S. House Speaker McCarthy said on Twitter, “The House will be moving forwards with legislation to protect Americans from the technological tentacles of the Chinese Communist Party.”
