Data privacy firm Ethyca has raised $13.5 million in Series A funding. The company aims to help firms comply with privacy legislation such as Europe’s GDPR and California’s CCPA regulation, which will be enforced form 1 July. Ethyca enables firms to identify where sensitive data may be used and provides API tools to create permissions, reporting, and analytics around it.
The firm is also launching a new self-service product that businesses can use for free to
automate privacy compliance. The start-up said that it will now allow businesses to implement comprehensive privacy management without a lengthy on boarding process.
