Elon Musk claims that X will offer voice and video calls, update the Privacy Policy

Elon Musk stated that his social network X, formerly known as Twitter, will enable users to conduct voice and video calls.

Musk did not specify a timeframe for when the features would be made accessible to users. In the past, Musk has made predictions about upcoming features and policies that have not always materialized. The business also updated its privacy policies to permit the collection of information such as employment history and biometric data.

The voice and video calls on the platform will function on computers as well as Apple and Android devices, Musk wrote on the defunct Twitter, adding that “No phone numbers needed.”

The platform’s new privacy statement, which takes effect on September 29, informs users that it “may collect and use your biometric information for safety, security, and identification purposes” based on “your consent.”
