Disney reported results for the final quarter of its 2022 fiscal year today, revealing a total of 164.2 million Disney+ global subscribers, an increase of 12 million subs from 152.1 million in Q3.

It was only projected that the flagship streaming service would add 9.35 million subscribers. Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ collectively had 235.7 million subscribers, up from 221 million in the third quarter, across all of Disney’s streaming services. The business exceeded 233.8 million dollar expectations. Despite Netflix reaching 223.09 million global subscribers during its third quarter, the company passed the rival for a second time.

Last quarter, Disney revised down its projection for the number of global Disney+ subscribers in 2024 to between 215 million and 245 million.
