Catalina and Volta Energize DOOH partnership

According to a news release, shopper intelligence business Catalina has teamed up with Volta Inc., an electric vehicle (EV) charging network, to display digital out-of-home (DOOH) adverts on EV charging consoles.

The consoles, which can be found outside of Walgreens and Ahold Delhaize as well as Amazon Fresh, Tanger Outlets, and Six Flags, aim to catch consumer attention near the point of purchase in an ad-free environment. Catalina’s measurement skills are being used in this relationship, and the results are already showing:

According to the statement, a campaign with Dole Fresh Foods resulted in an 8% rise in sales and an 8.5 percent increase in category share. Volta adds a distinct inventory source to Catalina’s place-based media offering, according to Catalina.
