Twitter Testing Quote Tweet As Its Default Retweeting Feature

Twitter is testing to make the “Quote Tweet” option as its default retweeting feature. This could set to remove the existing retweet menu options, opening direct to quoting tweeting window instead. As of now, users have two options while retweeting – sharing only the original post or quote it with their thoughts.

According to a recent tweet by Jane Manchun Wong, reverse engineering expert, – “Twitter is working on making the Retweet button open the composer directly, getting rid of the menu with this prototype, as of now, it’s still possible to retweet by not entering anything in the text area and press the ‘Retweet’ button.”
