LinkedIn is abandoning its LinkedIn Stories experiment, after Twitter’s decision to discontinue its social stories initiative “Fleets” last month.
Last year, the company introduced Stories as a fun and casual method to communicate brief video updates, according to the company. After having accumulated a large amount of inputs and knowledge database form it, they plan on using what they have learned to rethink the Stories format as a richer, more conversational video experience throughout LinkedIn.
LinkedIn intends to adopt Stories’ mixed media and creative tools in a uniform manner across their platform, while also trying to better integrate it with their professional persona.
