With this week marking the 10th birthday of Facebook Messenger, the platform has announced the availability of new features. These are designed to spark a celebratory mood and also to add some innovative functionality to prompt further usage and interaction via messaging.
Back in 2011, Facebook launched as it as a separate app in order to dominate the online communications space. Users started to care about the Messenger app in 2014, when they were forced to download it separately.
As explained by Facebook, “You can now play “Most likely to” in polls to help you discover what your friends really think about topics like who is “most likely to give gifts on their own birthday.””
