Twitter Launched a Live Test of a New Follower Removal Feature

Twitter launched the first live test of its new process for removing specific followers from the audience, which eliminates the need to block/unblock for the same. This is part of Twitter’s larger focus on providing more control options for users.

Those participating in the new test will now be able to pick ‘Remove this follower’ directly from the options list for each individual user in their ‘Followers’ display. The person will not be told that they have been unfollowed, and they’ll have the option to re-follow if they so desire. However, it’s a less intrusive option to remove someone who no longer wants to engage with the tweets.
