Meta Upgrading the Terminology for Accounts

Meta has updated the terminology it uses to display performance metrics, changing the term “people” to “Accounts Center accounts” in Ads Manager, Ads Reporting, Ads Help Center, Commerce Insights, and Instagram Insights.

“The calculation methodology for these metrics is not changing,” stated Meta. The only difference between the numbers users see in their reporting now and before is the name. These statistics are somewhat ambiguous because Meta hasn’t provided any additional details regarding the number of accounts that are linked or not.

The modification is consistent with Meta’s broader Accounts Center platform update, which will improve users’ ability to manage their preferences across Facebook, Instagram, and Messenger in a single location.
