Meta Unites Ad and Business Messaging Product Groups into One Division, The Information

Meta Platforms has merged its advertising product, commerce department, and business messaging into one division, The Information, mentions company executive John Hegeman. The merging is part of an effort to reduce middle management ranks throughout the company.

The owner of Facebook and Instagram also begin its cost-cutting drive, with plans to eliminate 21,000 jobs and demolish its middle-management structure due to the CEO’s goal of turning 2023 into the “year of efficiency.”
