Instagram has recently announced its next stage of experiments in hiding like counts on posts. This will be applicable for all Facebook and Instagram users and they can now choose whether to display the like counts or not on each of their posts.
As explained by the social media giant, “You may have noticed that we’ve been testing hiding like counts on Instagram for a while. Today, we’re announcing that everyone on Instagram and Facebook will now have the option to hide their public like counts, so they can decide what works for them.”
Over time and many experiments, users indicated different perspectives of seeing likes, and eventually, it could reduce the performance pressure in the platform.
