After launching its Effects House augmented reality creation tool to a select group of developers in August, TikTok is now opening beta access to all creators.
The move aligns with the platform’s plans to expand its creative capacity. As the name implies, Effects House, like Snapchat’s ‘Lens Studio’ and Meta’s ‘Spark AR’ platform, enables developers to create augmented reality effects using a variety of templates and tools.
According to TikTok, the program will also enable top effects producers to monetize their work through partnerships with sponsor brands, providing an additional revenue stream for TikTok’s creative economy.
