As it prepares itself to dive into the live-streaming option into eCommerce, for its push for monetization, TikTok will add a new control option for live broadcasters which will enable them to mute comments from individual viewers within streams for a considerable amount of time.
The new option will eliminate all the previous comments of users that will help to manage live-stream interaction as well as decrease unwelcome distractions that flooded the comment stream.
TikTok is currently exploring live-stream commerce via a partnership with big-name brands. However, TikTok also needs to provide a brand and consumer safe environment to maximize its appeal.
