Russian news agencies cited a senior regulatory official that they will block Twitter in one month if the U.S. social media giant doesn’t comply with a demand to remove banned content.
Recently, Moscow said it had slowed down the speed of Twitter inside the country in retaliation for what is defined as a failure to exclude a specific list of banned content.
Furthermore, Twitter said that it was concerned about the impact on the free speech of the Russian action and refused that it allowed its platform to be used to support illegal behavior as claimed by Russian authorities.
