Like Twitter, Meta Platforms commenced its subscription service, allowing Facebook and Instagram users to remunerate for verification in the US. As per a statement by Meta, the verified service will grant the users a blue badge upon account verification with a government ID.
The service costs USD 11.99 on the web and USD 14.99 on Apple’s iOS system and Google-owned Android monthly. Meta claimed to have followed the footsteps of Snapchat and Telegram, marking the latest efforts by a social media firm to diversify the revenue farther from advertising.
