Meta is trying to get more people into its apps, and get them spending more time on Facebook and Instagram respectively.
According to the social media app, it is attempting to make it simpler for users to switch between their connected profiles on each platform and has added new alerts to entice users across. To entice users to switch to each app, Meta is introducing a new profile-switching interface that will show the number of notifications on each platform.
The company wants to connect its various accounts and tools, add more combined notifications, and add more ways to keep people inside its digital walls for longer. Along with updates from the VR environment formerly known as Oculus, Meta is probably also considering how to incorporate WhatsApp notifications and switching options.
