Magnite Research Finds Streaming TV’s Rapid Growth Compelled by Ad-Supported Content Viewing

Magnite revealed its latest research study, “The Rise of Ad-Supported Streaming: An In-Depth Look at How Ads Are Powering Streaming TV in LATAM,” in which it finds that 75% of internet-connected TV viewers across Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and Mexico watch ad-supported streaming TV, including television content streamed on any device.

The study also finds that the demand for ad-supported content is increasing, where 83% watch content with ads. Ad-supported streaming TV viewers watch as ad-free viewers (15 hours) weekly. The study shows that advertising is not negatively impacting the viewers’ engagement.
