Instagram’s branding is getting a “visual makeover” this week, according to a blog post published on Monday. The company is releasing a new brighter logo, typeface, and full-screen marketing layouts that have been slightly altered.
According to Instagram, the update is intended to help the company “build more immersive and inclusive experiences.” “Instagram Sans” is the new typeface, which was inspired by Instagram’s logo. The font was inspired by squares and circles, or “squircles,” according to Instagram. Multiple global scripts are also included in the new typeface.
The layout has an impact on how photographs appear in the home feed.
