Instagram has recently announced that it is adding new prompts as a part of its COVID-19 avoidance efforts to ensure users remain aware and vigilant. The news of approved vaccines has circulated; however, it does not mean that people are safe from the virus.
Thus, the platform noted that this effort is not to let up, even though the end in sight. Users will see a prompt at the top of Instagram Feed which connects them to health authorities like the CDC, WHO, local counterparts.
Furthermore, if people search for vaccines or pandemics, they will be directed to information from reliable health bodies.
