Facebook and Instagram Are Not Refunding Small Businesses Quickly Post Ad Glitch

Meta Platforms Inc. has initiated refunds for advertisers’ money because of a major glitch last month which resulted in businesses overspending for promoting ads on Facebook and Instagram. According to a report by Bloomberg, some small businesses are still waiting for refunds from the social media company. Large accounts that spend over USD 200,000 monthly have a direct customer care line at Meta. Such an account might even have a designated account representative to connect during an event of an error. Small businesses that make up the big contributors to Meta’s ads spending do not have the same access to customer service.
