Amazon Offers Prime Video Advertisements For A Fee

Amazon

In an email to consumers, Amazon announced that it will begin running limited commercials on Prime Video films and TV series on January 29 in an effort “to continue investing in compelling content and keep increasing that investment over a long period of time.”

Prime subscribers now have the option to pay an extra USD 3 per month to avoid seeing advertisements while streaming.

As the company stated in its email, it is not only paying for new content but also trying to compete with other industry leaders in streaming, like Disney Plus, Hulu, Netflix, Max, and Paramount Plus, all of which have increased their prices and added advertisements to their most affordable subscription tiers.
