Twitter to Introduce Ticketing for the Audio ‘Spaces’ Feature

As part of its effort to court more content creators, Twitter said it would add a new feature in its “Spaces” feature that will enable users to charge access to their live audio chat rooms.

Only users who took part in Twitter’s pilot testing were able to host their own Space until now. Any user that has at least 600 followers can become a host starting Monday, according to the company.

Last year, Twitter launched Spaces to compete with Clubhouse, a viral audio chat app that sparked a trend and attracted celebrities and entrepreneurs but is still limited to invite-only users.
