UTA buys MediaLink as marketing_ entertainment convergence persists

The United Talent Agency (UTA) will acquire MediaLink, a focused strategic consulting firm that includes marketing conversions, according to each announcement. Along with joining UTA as a partner, founder Michael Kassan will continue as CEO of MediaLink, which will maintain its full organization.

MediaLink boasts a C-suite relationship network across all types of products, marketing, entertainment, technology and finance, while UTA – one of the world’s largest talent-representing companies – has a list that includes top artists, athletes and cultural brands.

The combination seems to close the narrowing gap between marketing and entertainment, as contact with creators and culture becomes a bond of brands and platforms. UTA Marketing, an entertainment marketing agency, will be part of MediaLink.
