Instagram has announced that links are now available on Instagram Stories for all users, not those with 10k followers or verified accounts.
All users will now be able to access the Stories link sticker. Instagram introduced the sticker as an option to share the main link, instead of the ‘Swipe up’ links, back in August. This was a source of controversy, and some confusion in the case of Instagram ads, which still use swipe links. But the addition of link stickers, as opposed to swipe links, gives users clever control of how links appear within their Media frames, which can be a great way to drive additional forwarding traffic.
Everyone will be able to add their own links, expanding the potential number of stories to drive their target audience.
