WhatsApp beta has recently updated its Android version and announced that it is testing its own QR code option. This initiative is taken in order to make it easier for the users to share their contact info with the help of QR scans.
WhatsApp Launches New Stickers in Partnership with WHO
It was already made available to iOS users, and now WhatsApp has confirmed that it is immediately available to all Android users as well.
The new QR code option is available under the setting and will allow users to present their code for others to scan phone number and other contact details. Besides, there is a ‘Scan Code’ feature to decode others’ codes.
