Meta Platforms Inc. has announced the opening of its first brick-and-mortar location. The store, which will open on May 9, promises to provide buyers with a space to try out and purchase virtual reality headsets and other goods.
The 1,550-square-foot Meta Store will open on May 9, 2022, at the company’s Burlingame site in California, Meta said. It will contain demos of the company’s Quest 2 virtual reality headset and Portal video conferencing gadget, as well as smart glasses it manufactures in collaboration with Ray-Ban.
“With the exception of the Ray-Ban glasses, all of the devices will be available for purchase at the store. Additionally, the products may be purchased online via a new shopping tab on meta.com,” the company noted.
