Zoom calls are no longer just for work meetings and family reunions. Conversational artificial intelligence (AI) platform, Cresta, wants to make them a channel for customer service too.

The business is integrating its AI tools with Zoom to enhance the experience for clients who make video calls to the business. Through the integration, Zoom-using companies can now easily activate Cresta through Zoom’s user interface. In essence, Zoom is using its customer base to market additional services, while Cresta is making it easier for businesses to use its technology.

Cresta was valued at USD 1.6 billion after the transaction, making it a unicorn. Additionally, Zoom’s plans to continue enhancing its platform with new tools for sales and marketing teams follow on the heels of this.
