Zendesk Launches Sell Marketplace To Incorporate App Store To CRM Product

Zendesk

Zendesk acquired Base CRM to give customers a CRM component to go along with its core customer service software in 2018. After the acquisition, the name has changed to Sell. The company has now announced the launch of the new Sell Marketplace.

The Zendesk Marketplace for Sell is a place where companies can share files that extend the capabilities of the core Sell product. Companies like HubSpot, MailChimp, and QuickBooks are available at launch.

The marketplace is seen as a way to extend Sell into a platform play to make it a “game-changer.” Customers can build separate apps with a new application development framework. This will enable them to customize Sell for their particular environments, such as connecting to an internal system or building functionality that’s unique to them.
