Zamtel, in partnership with Gupshup, conversational engagement company, has announced the launch of an intelligent chatbot that will allow customers to buy airtime via WhatsApp. Zamtel wants to use the chatbot built on WhatsApp to facilitate two-way conversational engagement, increase its audience, and scale personalised communication.
Subscribers to Zamtel can now access the AI-powered Zamtel chatbot now in the near future, Facebook and Instagram users will be able to use it. Customers can also purchase their Zamtel airtime using other mobile payment methods offered by the chatbot, such as Zamtel Mobile Money.
All devices with WhatsApp support will be able to use this product.
