YouTube’s Records $40 Billion in Sales in the Past Year

YouTube Chief Executive Officer Neal Mohan said that YouTube has generated nearly $40 billion in revenue over the past 12 months. The video platform’s business will focus on advertising opportunities across its rapidly growing products, including Shorts.

Google’s parent company, Alphabet Inc., reported that YouTube revenue had declined for the third quarter as the company continued facing a slowdown in demand for digital advertising. Now YouTube’s business shows signs of “stabilization,” as expenditures on advertising by travel and retail companies have improved.
