YouTube is working on a new video analytics display tool that is aimed at helping creators
understand insights about their video views and how they can maximize each video’s
performance.
The tool will offer in-depth details to creators on how a video is doing as per the YouTube home page and Watch Next suggestions. The analytics report highlights a video’s click-through rate and average view duration and a specific insight as to how much of your traffic is coming from ‘Home’ and ‘Suggested’. YouTube said a when video’s title, topic, and thumbnail attracts more viewers, it is more likely to be recommended to similar viewers on Home and ‘Up next’ suggestions. The new feature will help video creators shape their YouTube strategy.
