YouTube Tests ‘Engagement Graph’ Insights for Clips

YouTube seeks to assist viewers to identify the most engaging elements of the video clips. At the same time, the platform is releasing a new feature that acknowledges long-term subscribers during live streams. 

The new ‘Engagement Graph’ will enable the subscribers to view the highs and lows in engagement activity while they scour through the clip.

YouTube is not the first platform to experiment with engagement insights to guide view behavior. Back in 2016, Facebook test the same for live videos. The difference between the two is that Facebook used reactions and comments as a signal which YouTube didn’t.
