YouTube Offers More Creators with Access to Shoppable Links

YouTube is looking to open up access to its live-stream commerce tools to a much wider pool of creators.

As per the latest announcement by the company, “By year’s end, members of YouTube’s Partner Program in the US, UK, Brazil, and India with at least 20,000 subscribers will be able to tag their videos, Shorts, and live streams with shoppable links.”

On November 10, YouTube will also host a live shopping broadcast with merchandise and presentations from Ulta Beauty, Tula Skincare, and other retailers. The expansion of its presentation tools and options may be a significant step forward in YouTube’s effort to capitalize on live-stream shopping, which has been a goal of the platform for some time.
