After introducing an initial beta test of the new ‘Shorts’ feature to some of the selected US users in March, YouTube has recently announced the expansion of ‘Shorts’ to all users in the US. This is being implemented with broader access to the solutions rolling over the next week.
The company made the announcement as part of the weekly Creator Insider video update – alongside a range of additions. As explained by Conor Kavanagh, Lead of Ads policy per YouTube, the access to the Shorts camera will open up new opportunities for YouTube users.
It can also help generate more interest in Shorts clips as a content option – generating significant consideration for the platform.
