X Introduces Incognito Mode Controls for Spaces Hosts

Allow Incognito

X is introducing a new feature that will allow Spaces hosts to choose whether to allow private and non-logged-in users to join their chats within the app.

X has given Spaces hosts the ability to select which users listen in on their audio conversation by adding a new “Allow Incognito” setting. Spaces hosts now have the option to turn on a new toggle that allows them to control whether or not anonymous users can join their chats. This essentially means that hosts can restrict access to only logged-in users.

Spaces hosts are guaranteed to retain control over their anonymity with the new control option. A limited group of users is presently testing the new configuration.
