With a new feature that will allow Spaces users to turn on video during a live audio broadcast, X hopes to bring video to real-time Spaces chats.
During a Spaces chat over the weekend, X owner Elon Musk gave a preview of the upcoming update, saying, “We’re working on adding video to Spaces so that it’ll just be a simple thing where you can turn the video on or off.” After that, the speaker will take over the video, resembling a group call or something similar.
With the speaker’s video screen highlighted, the option sounds a lot like Zoom or Google Meet and adds another dimension to Spaces chats.
