Popular chat app WhatsApp is also rolling out link for video calls feature so users can share a link of a call with family and friends. According to Mark Zuckerberg, who announced the feature, users can now join WhatsApp calls by tapping this link.
He added that the business is currently testing encrypted video calls for 32 people. The extended group call feature was initially announced by the company in April, but it now appears to be rolling out to a select group of users. Under the calls tab, users will find the option to make a video link.
Users can invite family and friends to join the video call by sharing the link once it has been created. A community with multiple user groups can be created by admins using WhatsApp’s Communities feature, which Meta began testing last month.
