After declaring last week that Facebook was “killing people” by permitting the spread of misinformation about COVID-19 vaccines, US President Joe Biden struck a softer tone when discussing the social media platform on Monday.
Biden told reporters that he intended to blame a dozen users, not the company, of spreading the most misinformation on the social media network. He stated, “Facebook isn’t killing people. He also said he hopes that the social media company takes more action to stop the spread of misinformation.
