Twitter recently changed its interface so that some users can see how many times a public tweet has been seen. On some users’ tweets, Twitter has started a public test of a new “Views” count that shows how many times each user’s tweet has been seen in the app overall.

Although “Views” and “Impressions” are obviously not the same thing, Twitter has confirmed that this is the information that people are viewing. The tweet views will appear for more users than usual because this interface update is currently undergoing a public beta test.

According to Twitter, currently the option is available to few accounts but it won’t be more than a few months before everyone sees the update.
