Twitter Promotes Visual Branding Updates to Increase Advertising Revenue

Twitter has introduced new promotional capabilities that brands can now integrate into their Twitter campaigns. Although, as with almost every update that “Twitter 2.0” has so far released, they aren’t really new; rather, they are simply updated or revised versions of already-available products or releases of older projects that had been shelved.

The first is Hashmojis, a rebranding of Twitter’s Branded Hashtags that includes a small graphic at the end. Twitter has also formally introduced its “Hashfetti” feature, which displays the appropriate graphic on the user’s screen when they tap the branded tag.

In order to increase engagement and awareness, the company has also unveiled Custom likes, which gives users the ability to create distinctive animations on particular tweets.
