Twitter has rolled out another update to its Community Notes feature, this time with a new notification when a new note is attached to a tweet that users have previously engaged with.
According to Twitter, it could help dispel misinformation and limit the flow of fake news by alerting people to errors and allowing them to reconsider their initial reaction. Community Notes have emerged as a key element in Elon Musk’s “Twitter 2.0” reform plan, with Musk’s view that notes will equip the Twitter community to provide important updates and feedback on tweets.
The company said it will allow Twitter users to moderate their own content according to the community’s own standards, as opposed to Twitter having to decide on it itself.
