Twitter Introduces New Tags for Harmful COVID-19 Misinformation

As the COVID-19 misinformation is continuing to circulate via different social media platforms, Twitter has recently announced new measures to slow down the sharing of such fake or wrong news.

Facebook and Google – The Duopoly will Rule the Global Market Post Pandemic

The social media giant has introduced a new label to alert its users from potentially dangerous pandemic related misinformation. As mentioned by Twitter in a tweet, “Labels will now appear on Tweets containing potentially harmful, misleading information related to COVID-19. This will also apply to Tweets sent before today.”

It is expected that during any active conversation with tweets, with such measures, it will help users to slow down the flow of falsehoods and hoaxes.
