Twitter intends to increase the length of long tweets to 10,000 characters

In response to a user’s question about adding code blocks to tweets, Twitter CEO Elon Musk stated that the platform is working on increasing the character limit to 10,000.

Musk did not specify, however, whether the new feature would be accessible only to Twitter Blue subscribers or to free users as well. The tweet character limit for Twitter’s Blue subscribers in the US was raised to 4,000 a month earlier.

The character limit had been increased twice in the company’s history, the first time in 2017, when it was doubled to 280 characters.
