Twitter‘s long-troubled verification application process is having yet another setback, with the platform halting the current extension of access to its new and enhanced verification tool in order to fine-tune the systems in place.
As per Twitter, “We’ve temporarily hit pause on rolling out access to apply for Verification so we can make improvements to the application and review process. For those who have been waiting, we know this may be disappointing. We want to get things right, and appreciate your patience.”
Later, Twitter Product Lead Kayvon Beykpour clarified what this means, saying that everyone who now has access to the application process would not lose it, and that applications will not be paused as a result.
