Twitter Halts Public Requests for Profile Verification

Twitter Halts Public Requests for Profile Verification-01

Just a week after the announcement for re-launch of public requests for profile verification, Twitter paused its initiative. The feature was on pause since 2017 anyway, however, it will be resumed again soon.

The social media giant said that it has been getting a huge influx of requests for blue checkmark on profiles. This is not a surprise since users are actively looking forward to gain an extra mile in-app status in the digital world.

As mentioned by Twitter, “We’re rolling in verification requests. So we gotta hit pause on accepting any more for now while we review the ones that have been submitted. We’ll reopen requests soon! (we pinky swear)”
