Twitter Goes Over the Policies Against Wishing Harm on Users

Currently, Donald Trump’s COVID-19 diagnosis is all over social media. However, a majority of posts about the US President were found not to be sympathetic. This is also due to the divisive political nature of the upcoming presidential election.

This prompted Twitter to repeat its safety policies and behavior rules for wishing harm against other users. Back in April, the social media giant had the guidelines to incorporate threats of harm or disease against anyone – including the US President. As mentioned by the Twitter Safety team – “We hear the voices who feel that we’re enforcing some policies inconsistently. We agree we must do better, and we are working together inside to do so.”
