Twitter expands misinformation reporting feature to more international markets

Twitter introduced this feature in many markets as its testing expanded. In addition to the US, Australia and South Korea, where the feature is already live, Twitter is releasing the reporting option to users in Brazil, Spain and the Philippines.

The company also Issued a review of the compliance feature, noting that it has received more than 3.7 million user reports since its inception. In essence, Twitter has about 211 million users making money every day, as of its recent profits, 37 million of which are based in the U.S. and 174 million based in international markets.

The company also conducts research called birdwatch, which aims to verify facts through crowdsource by allowing twitter users to comment on misleading tweets with factual information. This service is being tested and updated based on user feedback.
