As part of an effort to combat the spread of misinformation, Twitter announced that it will partner with the Associated Press and Reuters to more quickly offer credible information on the social networking platform.
Twitter, like other social media platforms, has faced pressure to remove misleading or inaccurate content from its platform. Twitter started Birdwatch earlier this year, asking its users to help uncover and fact-check misleading tweets.
A Twitter spokesperson said the partnerships mark the first time Twitter will formally collaborate with news organizations to highlight correct content on its site
