Twitter has announced some new, more precise restrictions regarding copied and pasted tweets, as well as how it will handle content that repeats the same phrasing.
The new policy includes a variety of potential sanctions, such as making Tweets ineligible for amplification, not promoting Tweets in timelines, and demoting Tweets in responses, among others.
These actions, taken together, will minimize the visibility of these tweets. Twitter further claims that infractions of these rules will not result in account suspensions.
